Position: ESL Teacher - Spanish Speaking Teacher -Dual Language Inmersion Program at Bruce Monroe Elementary School - District of Columbia Public Schools. As bilingual educator, serve as a leader and facilitator of various teaching - learning activities. In charge of curriculum planning and instructional innovation. Responsible for establishing links with the local library, museums, and other educational and civic organizations to secure support for school programs and other community (resources) organizations. At Casa, I created curriculum for low-income families, which seek to improve learning, training, working and assimilation into the culture. I taught English as Second Language to children and adults. Helped to properly implement the goals and objectives of the organization. I conducted regular in class evaluations, provided training when needed, recruited volunteers and monitored work assignments. I also represented Casa at community based organizations, sponsors, and church meetings. I assisted in the development and implementation of strategies fundraising plans. I consider, I was very supportive in helping Casa del Pueblo to increase parents’ participation in drug anti violence education.
